The Delhi government also offers a job to Singh's sister
New Delhi: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday visited the family of an Aaj Tak television journalist who died while investigating alleged irregularities in the conduct of common entrance tests for professional courses and recruitment to state-level jobs.
The Delhi government also offered a job to the sister of Akshay Singh.
“We are united in grief with family of late journalist Akshay Singh. Offered to help the family financially as well," deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia told reporters after the visit.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also moved the Supreme Court on the issue. Senior AAP leader Kumar Vishwas has filed a public interest litigation seeking urgent intervention of the Supreme Court.
Many suspects and witnesses connected to the so-called Vyapam scam have died in mysterious circumstances, leading to calls for a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation.
