HITS: ministry to issue fresh cabinet note

New Delhi: The ministry of information and broadcasting will soon be introducing afresh the cabinet note on highend-in-the-sky, or HITS, a satellite-based digital cable distribution technology, which was readied by the last government.

Information minister Ambika Soni, at an informal meeting with reporters, maintained that it was a top priority for the government, as it would give further boost to the process of digitization of cable in India.
