Kuwait City: Hit by global economic slowdown, India’s economic growth is expected to decline to around 6% this fiscal year, still making it one of the fastest growing economies in the world, Vice-President Hamid Ansari said here on Tuesday.
“During the last five years, our rate of growth was at an average of around 9%. This year, it will be about 6%, still one of the highest registered globally,” Ansari told the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Ansari is on a three-day official visit to Kuwait.
