March infrastructure output up 7.2% y-o-y

New Delhi: India’s infrastructure sector output grew 7.2% in March from a year earlier, higher than an upwardly revised annual growth of 4.7% in February, government data showed on Tuesday.
During the 2009-10 fiscal year (April-March), core sector output rose 5.5% from 3.0% a year ago.
The infrastructure sector accounts for 26.7% of India’s industrial output.
