New York:Nobel laureate and a leading expert on climate change, R.K. Pachauri will lead the newly established Yale Climate and Energy Institute.

Pachauri chairs the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change since 2002, and has been director-general of The Energy and Resources Institute in India since 2001.
