Hyderabad: A dedicated court for economic offences in Hyderabad on Thursday ordered the serving of fresh summons on Ram Mynampati, former interim chief executive and director of Satyam Computer Services Ltd, to appear before it.
Satyam had been hit by a multi-crore accounting fraud by founder B. Ramalinga Raju and some of his aides.
Mynampati had failed to appear before the court for the third time in the case filed by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office.
The court said it would initiate the process through the government to bring Mynampati back to India to face trial if he failed to appear before it on his own. Mynampati, believed to be in the US now, had left the country within days of the fraud being revealed in January 2009.
