Private equity (PE) investments in the country touched the $1 billion mark in August, an almost threefold increase in value over the same month a year ago, powered by 26 deals. Data compiled by research and consulting firm Four-S Services shows that infrastructure and telecom sectors have attracted the most funds, while real estate, information technology and other sectors have missed out. August also marked a rebound in private equity deals by value, which had dipped after touching a high of $1.06 billion in March.
