New Delhi: In a bid to fill its coffers, the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) on Thursday proposed a one-time fee of Rs3 crore for every corporate membership.
The proposal to invite corporate houses for memberships was made by the DDCA vice president CK Khanna and will put in front of the state board’s executive committee for consideration.
“We can invite corporate companies of repute to become members of the association by paying a one-time membership fee. This limited membership shall be under corporate membership category as mandated in the Article 3 of the Articles of Association of DDCA," Khanna said in a statement.
The release further stated that corporate members shall enjoy some extra privileges.
“The corporate house will get to nominate any 2 persons for membership as their official nominees and both persons will enjoy full member rights except voting right to the elections of executive committee of DDCA," Khanna said.
“The Executive Committee, if agree can decide such membership fee such as approximately Rs3 crore each corporate house membership."
Besides, the proposal also states that corporate houses shall be entitled to two complimentary match tickets and one VIP car park in the stadium for each international and Indian Premier League (IPL) matches played at the Feroz Shah Kotla ground. PTI
