New Delhi: India’s Cabinet on Wednesday approved the extension of the deadline on duty-free pulses imports until end-March 2010, home minister Palaniappan Chidambaram said.
The ban on export of all pulses except kabuli chana has also been extended by one more year, he said.
“The scheme for the distribution of imported pulses through PDS (public distribution system) has been extended by another six months,” he added.
The scheme was to end on 31 March.
