New Delhi: India is expected to raise the issue of liberalizing the European labour market to Indian professionals when Luxembourg foreign minister Jean Asselborn begins a four-day visit on Monday seeking to deepen political and economic bilateral ties.
Asselborn, who is also the country’s deputy prime minister and immigration minister, is likely to brief external affairs minister Pranab Mukherjee at a meeting here on Tuesday on the opening up of the Luxembourg labour market and its reforms regarding foreigners’ status, diplomatic sources said.
Luxembourg Parliament will soon discuss the key issue of dual citizenship and a draft law on this is under examination by the concerned committee of Parliament, they said.
This, they added, would be of interest to Indian nationals who reside in Luxembourg or plan to move to the Central European country.
