New Delhi: India will provide additional financial stimulus to certain export-oriented sectors, trade secretary Rahul Khullar said on Thursday.
“There will be incentives most definitely,” he told Reuters. Trade minister Anand Sharma will announce the stimulus measures soon, he said, adding that the money would come from the trade ministry.
“I am not going to go to the ministry of finance to fund it,” Khullar said.
India’s exports rose an annual 18.2% in November to $13.2 billion, the first rise after 13 straight months of decline.
