London: The Global Peace Index released in London has placed Norway right on top, as the most peaceful country to be in. Not surprisingly, Iraq is the least peaceful and India figures at 109 place out of a total of 121 countries.
The only way India can draw some comfort is seeing Pakistan at 115 and Sri Lanka at 111. Even African countries like Uganda and South Africa with their high crime rates are safer than India.
