Melting of ice at the North and the South Pole, rising carbon emissions and rapid climate change have pushed environment issues to the forefront off late. In India, too, there is a growing awareness of environment issues as being strategic to business growth and the sustainability of society as a whole. Recent climactic disasters like the Sunami prove that we need to take immediate action to restore the fragile ecological balance. The Indian government has also made a set of Acts and rule to prevent more damage to the environment.
