New Delhi: The union home ministry in a strong worded letter has asked the defence ministry to probe the conduct of Air Force commandos who allegedly left behind an injured wireless operator of state police after their chopper crashed in Maoist hotbed of Sukma district in Chhattisgarh.
Union home secretary R.K. Singh in a letter to his counterpart said the conduct of Indian Air Force personnel in abandoning the chopper, their weapons and injured wireless operator seems to be in clear violation of standard operating procedures. Singh said it is extremely disturbing and impinges badly on country’s fight against Maoists.
