Kochi: The Reserve Bank on India on Wednesday gave approval to appoint V.P. Iswardas, chief general manager of Kerala-based Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB), as the bank’s managing director (MD) and chief operating officer (CEO).
The term of the present MD and CEO, R. Venkataraman, ended on 31 July and the apex bank had given special sanction to the bank to allow him continue in the post up to four months before which a new appointment would have to be made. Iswardas is expected to take charge immediately and his term is for three years.
