Fiscal deficit reaches 61% of budgeted target in June
Net tax receipts in the first three months of 2016/17 fiscal year were Rs1573.03 billion
New Delhi: India’s fiscal deficit during April-June was Rs3263.23 billion ($48.68 billion), or 61.1% of the budgeted target for the fiscal year ending in March 2017, government data showed on Friday.
The deficit was 51.6% during the same period a year ago.
