The doctors say Singh may be able to return to official duties in two weeks. And is expected to be fully active in six weeks.
UPA government will be on tender hooks till the 76-year-old leader returns to office as there a long list of unfinished tasks which he must take up in the run up to the general elections. With the Parliament session beginning in February, UPA has to clear important bills, present vote-on-account and roll out a road map that consolidates all the important decisions it took in its five-year regime.
Soft-spoken Singh is not known for his vote-catching abilities. And yet he is the most important cog-in-the-wheel of the Congress as he is the only leader so far who could be projected as their prime ministerial candidate.
