Pakistan troops violate ceasefire along LoC in Poonch
Exchanges are still going on, says a defence spokesperson
Jammu: After over a month’s lull, Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire on Wednesday evening by targeting forward Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, drawing retaliation from Indian forces.
“There was firing from across the border by Pakistani troops on Indian forward posts along the LoC in Sabjian sector of Poonch around 1840 hours," a defence spokesperson said, adding the Indian troops retaliated.
Exchanges are still going on, he said.
