Flipkart Big Shopping Days sale: Best gadget deals for you
It’s that time of the year again when major e-commerce stores start year-end sales. Flipkart.com is holding a three day sale (7-9 December) called Big Shopping Days sale offering direct discounts, exchange offers, cashbacks on credit cards and buyback offers on hundreds of gadgets.
Buyers who have been looking for a new smartphone, laptop or TV, but holding back due to high prices can go for them now.
Some of the recently announced smartphones such as Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro and Xiaomi Redmi 5A will be up for sale for the first time. The Apple iPhone X will be back in stock again and will be available during the sale.
Here are the best deals on the day one of the sales.
Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL
Rs39,990(earlier Rs61,000) and Rs59,999 (earlier Rs73,000) respectively
Buyers interested in the new Pixel 2 can get a direct discount of Rs11,001 and an additional bank offer of Rs10,000 on all credit/debit cards. The big screen Pixel 2 XL is available after a flat discount of Rs5,001 and bank offer of Rs8,000. Flipkart is also offering an exchange offer worth Rs18,000 on old smartphones.
Both Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL run on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with the latest Android 8.0 (Oreo). The former offers a 5-inch screen, while the latter has a much bigger 6-inch display with the new thin bezel design.
Apple iPhone 8
Rs59,999 (earlier Rs64,000)
The 64GB variant of the new iPhone 8 is selling at a discount of Rs4,000. There is an exchange offer worth Rs18,000 on older smartphones, but it's valid only on high-end models such as iPhone 7 Plus. It offers a smaller 4.7-inch screen but runs on the same A11 Bionic chipset and M11 motion co-processor, used in the iPhone X. The iPhone8 has a glass back and supports wireless charging. The deal is valid on gold, silver and space grey variants.
Xiaomi Mi A1
Rs12,999 (earlier Rs14,999)
The recently released Android One smartphone from Xiaomi is available at a discount of Rs2,000. There is an exchange offer of up to Rs12,000 too. The Mi A1 runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and offers 64 GB internal storage with the option to add more through a microSD card. It has a 5.5-inch display with resolution of 1,920x1,080p. What sets it apart from other budget smartphones is the assurance all Google updates for 2 years. Which means it will be upgraded from Android 7.1 to Android 8.0 soon and is eligible for the Android 9.0 update too.
Acer Predator Helios 300 notebook

Acer is giving away a direct discount of Rs40,000 on the base variant of the Predator Helios gaming notebook. There is an additional discount of 10% on SBI credit cards and exchange offer of up to Rs12,000 on older laptops. The notebook is powered by Intel’s 7th Gen core i5 processor clocking at 2.5GHz, and paired with 8GB RAM and Nvidia GTX 1050 (4GB) graphics. It runs Windows 10, has a 15.6-inch display with resolution of 1,920x1,080p and offers 128GB SSD with 1TB HDD.
Microsoft Xbox One S
Rs22,990 (earlier Rs29,999)
For gaming enthusiasts looking for a new console, there is a discount of Rs7,000 on the new Xbox One S along with an exchange offer worth Rs6,000 on older consoles and 10% bank discount on SBI credit cards. This is the 500GB variant of the Xbox One S and runs on the same hardware that powers the Xbox One. But it is 40% smaller in size and also consumes less power. It supports 4K video playback too. Microsoft is bundling a free copy of Assassins Creed Origins worth Rs3,599 with it.
