FIFA 18 companion app gives fans a headstart before the game launch
EA Sports’ next football game FIFA 18 is expect to roll out next week on all major gaming platforms such as Sony PlayStation 4, Play Station 3, Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC and Nintendo Switch. There will be three editions of the game. The Standard and Legacy editions will cost Rs3,999 across all platforms, while the Ronaldo edition comes for Rs5,999.
To give fans a sneak peek into the game’s FUT (FIFA Ultimate Team) management interface, EA Sports has released a FIFA companion app and a separate web app. The addition of a web app will make things more exciting for fans as it works directly on a web browser. Users don’t have to install an app to enjoy its benefits. It will work with the latest version of all major browsers such as Google Chrome, Opera, Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Safari.
FUT management interface is the key highlight of all FIFA games since FIFA 15. It allows users to build their own custom clubs, buy new players and then lead them in real tournaments, leagues or individual opponents in online games. The entire process of keeping tab on players and their prices in the transfer market, and then bidding for them is a time taking process. It is also a smart way to generate gold in the game, which can be used for buying consumables to improve the team. Better player chemistry, team formation and right player positions can have a significant effect on the team’s performance during matches.
Through the FIFA 18, web app users can handle this side of affairs in their spare team from anywhere so they can use the time spent on the console for playing matches. Features such as journey mode or playing an actual game will not be available in the web or companion app.
Fans who want to access these features on the mobile app can download the FIFA 18 Companion app. It is free to download and available on both Android and iOS devices.
Users who have played last year’s FIFA 17 and have a FUT 17 account can login to the FIFA 18 Web or companion app, until the new game releases. After that they will have to buy the new game and create a new FUT 18 account.
