Mumbai: Amil Ambani Reliance Infrastructure Ltd today said its net profit for the second quarter ended 30 September stood at Rs288.97 crore, a 15.55% growth over the corresponding period a year ago.

The firm had a net profit of Rs250.08 crore in the September quarter of last fiscal, a company filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange said.

The total income rose 51% to Rs2,674.86 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs1,770.07 crore in the year-ago period.

For the six months ended 30 September, Reliance Infrastructure reported a net profit of Rs541.51 crore, a 14.81% growth over the corresponding period last year.

The firm had a net profit of Rs471.65 crore in the half yearly period last fiscal.

The operating income for the six-month ended 30 September rose to Rs4,763.52 crore, from Rs3,201.46 crore in the year-ago period.

Shares of Reliance Infrastructure closed at Rs473.45, down 6.37% on the BSE.
