Mumbai: The gaming market has been a “fun ride” for Xbox manufacturers and retailers. According to Ashim Mathur, the growth rate of the console gaming market has been exponential.

For the Xbox, Microsoft had initially handpicked seven cities and sold the product there. However, according to Mathur, it is now available from a bookstore to hyper-stores. He has attributed the popularity of the gaming console to the manner in which its usage was explained to consumers.

Mathur also says that if the game prices have to go down, then the government must reduce duties. “It adds to 50 per cent of the cost,” he adds.
