New Delhi: Indian executives are more satisfied with their current positions compared with their counterparts in the US or Asia-Pacific region.

According to the first online executive survey taken by CXO’s registered with the Korn Ferry Institute, 47% of Indian executives were satisfied or extremely satisfied with their current roles. The corresponding figure for US was 37% and for Asia-Pacific region was 37.08%. The survey was carried out for the period of May-June.

Also, the employee sentiment was better in India with 71% of the respondents indicating that employee morale in their organizations was either good or outstanding. Asia-Pacific followed with 57% and the US at 43%. Some 12% of executives at firms based in US highlighted that the employee morale was poor in their organizations.

“It is quite reflective of the economic situation in these countries. In India, there is greater employee satisfaction, trust in leadership and what stands out is that people are more ambitious. In some of the developed markets, people are happy to be in functional roles for the rest of their careers. Whereas in India, people want to be on an upward trajectory”, says Joy Nandi, Client Partner, Global Technology Market, Korn/Ferry International.
