Q)What is livemint Alerts?
livemint Alerts is a Personal Dashboard. Small, consistent and easily configurable, livemint Alerts can be used to monitor anything you want online--like business news, sensex movement, world news, cricket scores, photographs, videos--right on your desktop, through klips.
Q)What is a Klip?
A Klip is an information service that is used with livemint Alerts.
Q)How do I add an RSS feed?
Easy. Just click on the "Add RSS Feed" button in the KlipFolio toolbar, paste in the RSS feed URL and press the "Add Feed" button. If you have Firefox 2, it's even easier.

Q)Does livemint Alerts refresh automatically?
Yes. livemint Alerts will refresh particular Klips at intervals determined by the developer, ranging from once every minute to every ten minutes. You can, however, use the Refresh button to force livemint Alerts to refresh all your Klips whenever you want.
Q)How do I set a refresh interval?
You can't. The rate at which a particular Klip refreshes is up to the developer. This is because some sites are updated hourly, some daily and some weekly - there's no point in increasing server load (however minor) by downloading data every minute for a site that is updated once every 2 days. Of course, you can always manually refresh your Klips through use of the Refresh button.
Q)Some of my Klips have stopped working. What do I do?
Upgrade your Klips. Every now and then one or more of your Klips may cease to function correctly. When this happens, use the Klip upgrade utility to check for newer versions of your Klips. Press the Check Now button at the bottom of the Klips panel within livemint Alerts's Preferences window to begin the process and then follow the instructions.
Q)How do I get started with a sidebar?
Simply drag a toolbar to the edge of your screen, or use the toolbar's "Layout" context menu item.
Q)How do I create a Topbar along the top edge of my screen?
Drag a toolbar to the top edge of your screen or use the toolbar's "Layout" context menu item.
Q)Can I have multiple sidebars at the same time?
Yes. You can have as many sidebars as you want on as many monitors as you want.
Q)I've lost desktop space and I can't seem to get it back. What do I do?
Unlock your Windows taskbar, resize it and move it to the edge of the affected monitor. That will force Windows to reset your desktop.
Q)I found a problem with livemint Alerts. How do I report it?
Q)Does livemint Alerts contain any 'spyware' or 'adware'?
No way! It's neither our style nor part of our business model to compromise the privacy and trust of our users.
