PremiumThe Samsung Galaxy A80 was finally launched in India at a price of ₹47,990 last week. The smartphone was globally unveiled at an event in Bangkok, Thailand in April. The smartphone is known for its unique camera mechanism and for being the first Samsung smartphone to kill the notch and offer a full-display front.
The smartphone is currently available for pre-orders and would be available on online (and offline) stores starting 1 August on Flipkart and Samsung Store. During the pre-bookings, Samsung is offering flat 5% cashback to customers purchasing the smartphone using a Citibank Credit Card. The offer is valid on both Flipkart and Samsung Store and is applicable on both EMI and non-EMI purchases. The offer is valid all the way till 31 August.
Samsung is also offering one-time screen replacement plan for ₹990 over the selling price of the smartphone. The offer is available only on the pre-bookings of the Samsung Galaxy A80 before 31 July and can activate it before 15 August.
The smartphone is available in Angel Gold, Ghost White, and Phantom Black colours.
The Galaxy A80 is powered by Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 730 processor and its sports the company's new 6.7-inch FHD Super AMOLED "Infinity Display". Coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB onboard memory, it runs Samsung's own One UI interface on top of Android Pie OS.
The Galaxy A80's selfie mode in the camera app makes its three cameras pop-up and rotate. The camera is also capable of shooting ultra wide videos with super steady mode and has a 3D depth camera that offers "Live Focus" videos.
It comes with a 3,700mAh battery that ships with a 25W super-fast charger.
