Report Bee Edusys and Guru-G Learning Labs have received funding from India Educational Investment Fund
Bengaluru: Report Bee Edusys Pvt. Ltd, which helps measure and improve learning through analytics, and Guru-G Learning Labs (India) Pvt. Ltd, which supports teachers through a gamified platform on an app, said on Monday they have received an undisclosed amount of funding from India Educational Investment Fund (IEIF), a fund focused on the education sector.
Guru-G, which works with over 350 schools, said it would use the funds for expansion. Report Bee, which is used in 251 schools across Asia, said it would use the funds for product development and expansion in domestic and international markets.
The IEIF is funded by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and has committed investments to Unitus Seed Fund and Menterra Social Impact Fund.
“There has been little fundamental change in the way teaching takes place in India in the last 50 years. We aim to change that with our scalable, content-agnostic platform, which makes it fun and easy for teachers to learn new ways of teaching," said Amruth BR, chief executive officer of Guru-G, in a statement.
“We are very excited to make these two investments. Both companies function at the intersection of education, social impact and technology. It is a high-growth space where we are seeing a lot of exciting new ideas from young entrepreneurs," said Vishal Bharat, director of corporate business advisors, and the investment manager for IEIF.
