Hyderabad: Information technology services provider Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd. has acquired Houston-based enterprise solutions provider Bokanyi Consulting Inc. for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition of 10-year-old Bokanyi will give Kellton access to a suite of analytics solutions on the cloud, in line with its focus on ISMAC or Internet of Things, Social, Mobile, Analytics and Cloud.
Kellton is funding the all-cash deal with internal accruals, Niranjan Chintam, founder and chairman, said in a phone interview.
This is the ninth acquisition for Hyderabad-based Kellton that has grown primarily through the inorganic route. In June, it bought four companies of US-based ProSoft Group in an all-cash deal for $14 million, its biggest transaction at the time.
Bokanyi clocked $8 million in revenue last year by implementing real-time analytics solutions like HANA for customers in 12 countries.
“As we merge Bokanyi’s proven enterprise technology expertise that complements our ISMAC focus, we look forward to a myriad of new business opportunities while leveraging the cross-selling possibilities brought forth through this acquisition,” Chintam said in a statement.
Brian Bokanyi, chief executive of Bokanyi Consulting, will join Kellton along with 50 employees. “Brian has a lot of experience we want to take advantage of,” added Chintam. Bokanyi would be made the head of the analytics consulting vertical after an organization restructuring.
Kellton’s stock reacted positively to the development, gaining 4.95% on BSE to settle at ₹ 205.50 on Wednesday while the benchmark Sensex increased 0.03% to close at 24,492.39 points.
