Mumbai: Barbeque Nation Hospitality Ltd has raised 110 crore from private equity (PE) firm CX Partners. Barbeque Nation was started in 2006 by publicly traded hospitality firm Sayaji Hotels Ltd and has 33 restaurants currently.

This is Ajay Relan-founded CX Partners’ second investment in the hospitality sector. The PE firm had earlier invested in New Delhi-based Imperial Group to co-develop budget hotels. Its other portfolio companies include NTL Electronics India Ltd, Matrix Cellular (International) Services Pvt. Ltd and Thyrocare Technologies Ltd, among others, according to a statement by investment bank o3 Capital, who was the sole adviser on this transaction.

“Barbeque Nation is the largest single format casual dining chain in India and is geared up to capitalize on the high growth prospects in the food services sector," said Vivek Chhachhi, partner, CX Advisors Llp.
