EIH Q1 net profit dips 39% at Rs6.41 crore
EIH posts standalone total income from operations at `284.12 crore for June quarter as against `271.16 crore year ago
New Delhi: Hospitality firn EIH Ltd, which runs hotels and resorts under Oberoi and Trident brands, on Tuesday reported a 39.24% dip in its standalone net profit to ₹ 6.41 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2014. The company had registered a net profit of ₹ 10.55 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, EIH said in a statement.
Standalone total income from operations of the company stood at ₹ 284.12 crore for the quarter under consideration as against ₹ 271.16 crore for the same period a year ago.
The results for the first quarter are not indicative of a full years working due to seasonal nature of the Indian hotel industry, EIH said.
Founded in 1934, Oberoi Group operates 30 hotels, a Nile Cruiser and a Motor Vessel in the backwaters of Kerala. The group has presence in six countries under the luxury ‘Oberoi’ and five-star ‘Trident’ brand.
The group is also engaged in flight catering, airport restaurants, travel and tour services, car rentals, project management and corporate air charters.
Shares of the EIH Ltd on Tuesday closed at ₹ 100.20 per scrip on BSE, up 0.20% from their previous close.
