Mumbai: Madison World announced that Vikram Sakhuja is set to join the company as partner and group CEO. Sakhuja will be joining as an equity partner in the company. He will be responsible for the media and out-of-home (OOH) business of the group, and will work closely with Sam Balsara, chairman and managing director, Madison World.

Sakhuja will be taking over from Gautam Kiyawat, the current CEO of Madison Media, who has decided to relocate to Singapore for personal reasons.

The news was first reported by the Economic Times on Tuesday.

Sakhuja brings with him over 28 years of experience in the advertising and media industry. He was previously global strategic development officer at GroupM, global chief executive officer of Maxus, and chief executive officer of GroupM South Asia and Mindshare South Asia. He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management-Calcutta.

Madison Media handles the media planning and buying for various blue chip clients including Godrej, confectionery firm Mondelez, consumer product companies Marico and ITC, Asian Paints, adhesive manufacturer Pidilite, e-commerce company Lenskart and apparel firm Raymond.
