Ritz-Carlton to have a hotel in Mumbai in partnership with Oberoi Realty and Sahana Group

Bangalore: After their first hotel in Bangalore, the Ritz-Carlton will now have a second one in Mumbai’s Worli area in partnership with Oberoi Realty Ltd and Sahana Group.

The project, spread across 17 acres, will have a Ritz-Carlton hotel in one tower and residences in another, which will be managed by Ritz-Carlton.

The 238-room hotel will have two specialty restaurants, an ocean view bar and a spa.

There will be 120 luxury residences, construction and sales for which have already started. The 8,500-9,500 sq ft homes will be priced at 35 crore and up.

“We think the residential component will fetch a premium in the area because of the hotel development, which will complement it," said Vikas Oberoi, chairman and managing director, Oberoi Realty.

“We have been searching for the perfect location for a premier hotel in Mumbai for several years with the right partners," said Paul Foskey, executive vice-president, hotel development, Asia-Pacific, Marriott International. “This site offers everything hotel guests could want—a prime business location, stylish and contemporary design in this historically rich and vibrant city."

Marriott International owns the Ritz-Carlton brand.
