New Delhi: India’s leading potato chips brand, Lay’s from Pepsico India launched its new range of baked chips, Lay’s Baked, to add to the company’s healthy snack food portfolio on Wednesday. Launched in three flavours – Original Salted, Cream herb and onion and Sunkissed tomato, Lay’s Baked would be available in top 60 metros and towns across India through modern trade and retail trade outlets at price points of ₹ 15 and ₹ 30.
Vyas added that they we will continue to expand their range of products both for the health segment as well as their core product range. Consumers in India are becoming more health conscious and they want more variety in what they eat, that’s the key point. Some occasions they want a healthy snack, some occasions they want to indulge so we want to offer consumers choice and we are expanding our portfolio in alignment with what the consumers want.

The marketing budget for Lay’s Baked accounts for 20-25% of Pepsico’s annual marketing budget said Gaurav Mehta, director (western snacks), India Foods, Pepsico India not divulging any further details.
