Mumbai: Ssangyong Motor Co., part of the Mahindra Group, said vehicle sales rose 27% to 14,244 units in October.

This is inclusive of 6,202 units in South Korea and 8,042 units outside the country. This was its highest ever monthly sales since 2005. The sales growth, it said was driven by the face-lifted version of the Korando C.

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd acquired the ailing South Korean auto maker in March 2011. Mahindra shares fell 0.31% to 895.70, on BSE. The exchange’s benchmark Sensex fell 0.35 % to 20,822.37 points.
