Hyderabad: Pune-based Truelytics eComm Pvt. Ltd, which runs customised merchandise platform, icustommadeit.com has raised $250,000 in its second round of funding to build a better user interface and expand overseas in the next six months. The plaform is currently open to only Indian customers.

The latest round was funded by Paresh Doshi, a cardiologist based in xxxx and Virendra Shahaney, a producer-director in the television industry. This takes the company’s total equity funding to $400,000.

The company had $150,000 from Salma Chugh, managing director of London-based home furnishings exporter Vertex Group in January. Shahaney, Doshi and Chugh are members of icustommadeit’s board.

The site, which went live in April, is an online marketplace connecting individuals looking for customised creations with professional creators. It claims to offer custom-made solutions on things ranging from jewellery, clothing and home decor to accessories, shoes and confectionary totalling 8,000 items across 33 categories from 900 creators around the world. Customers are free to order tailor-made products or purchase readymade creations outright.

“Having people like Virender Shahaney and Dr. Doshi investing in our company is a great privilege and gives us tremendous encouragement. They share our sentiment which is all about creativity," Raj Iyer, chairman and managing director, and co-founder of icustommadeit.com said in a statement.

“What struck for me with regards to icustommadeit.com is the concept," Shahaney said. “We are in the age of start-ups who are pushing the envelope and experimenting with newer ideas."

Icustommadeit.com competes with PrintVenue, which offers customised printing for mugs, accessories, business cards and clothes, in some categories. Backed by Rocket Internet, PrintVenue operates in India, Singapore and Australia.
