Mumbai: Drug major Wockhardt on Tuesday launched an insulin Glaritus, used in the treatment of diabetes, in the country.
“This new insulin Glaritus has been successfully clinically tested on 300 diabetic patients for safety and efficacy parameters and is approved by the Drug Controller General of India,” Wockhardt said in a statement.
As per ORG IMS, the current analogous market in India is worth Rs120 crore and is growing at a rate of 37% annually, the company said.
Insulin analogous are advanced insulin therapies for diabetic comprising genetically engineered human insulin molecules.
