New Delhi: Drug firm Strides Shasun Ltd on Monday reported a consolidated net profit at ₹ 96.22 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March 2016 on account of robust sales.
The company had posted a net profit after taxes and minority interest of ₹ 11.39 crore for the same period a year ago, Strides Shasun said in a BSE filing. Consolidated total income from operations stood at ₹ 1,001.98 crore for the quarter under review. It was ₹ 335.78 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
For the fiscal ended 31 March 2016, the company had posted a net profit of ₹ 208.92 crore, whereas it was ₹ 844.99 crore in the previous fiscal. Consolidated total income from operations of the company stood at ₹ 3,156.35 crore for the 2015-16 fiscal.
It was ₹ 1,195.84 crore for the previous fiscal.
Strides Shasun executive vice-chairman and MD Arun Kumar said: “We closed out fiscal year 2016 on a high note with a milestone quarter and a strong business momentum despite a weak performance from our emerging market operations.”
In a separate filing Strides Shasun said its board has recommended a dividend of 40% at ₹ 4 per share for the year ended 31 March 2016. Shares of Strides Shasun on Monday closed at ₹ 1,192.55 per scrip on the BSE, up 0.24% from its previous close.
