New Delhi: Drug firm Abbott India Ltd on Wednesday posted 41% rise in net profit to 63.74 crore for the second quarter ended 30 September, 2014-15.

The company had posted net profit of 45.19 crore for the same period of previous fiscal.

Its Q2 sales rose to 577.42 crore, as against 444.73 crore in the same period of previous fiscal, Abbott India said in a filing to the BSE.

For the six months ended 30 September, the company posted net profit of 114.67 crore, as compared to 74.90 crore in the same period of previous fiscal.

Abbott India shares closed at 3,359.55 apiece, down 1.44%, on the BSE.
