Pepsi launches Gatorade ready-to-mix powder

New Delhi: Beverages and snack food major PepsiCo India on Wednesday announced its entry into the ready-to-mix powder segment with the launch of Gatorade Sports Mix at a lower price point than the already available liquid form of the sports drink, to drive up volumes.
“To encourage consumers to drink Gatorade more frequently, we have now made it more affordable and accessible," PepsiCo India executive director for innovation and business development Geetu Verma said in a statement.
Gatorade Sports Mix is available at Rs15 a pack, that can make 500ml of the drink against its liquid format that comes for Rs35 for a 500ml bottle.
The product would be launched initially in the metros and the company plans to support the move with consumer sampling.
