New Delhi: Bharat Oman Refineries Ltd, which is building the smallest of three state refineries in India, will test storage and import facilities starting October and may operate the unit at full capacity by February, an official said.

The venture owned by Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd, the country’s second largest state refiner, and Oman Oil Co. will receive its first crude cargo, possibly from Saudi Arabia, at Vadinar in Gujarat, managing director U.N. Joshi said on Thursday.

“The primary units of the refinery will be ready in September," Joshi said. “Crude will start flowing to the refinery by the end of November after we have tested the import facilities, tanks and pipelines."
