Bajaj Auto to set up fourth plant in Mundra
New Delhi: Bajaj Auto Ltd is looking to set up its fourth and largest plant near Mundra port in Gujarat that will also manufacture its planned low-cost minicar, Business Standard reported on Wednesday.
“Our capacity is enough till only the middle of the year and we need to expand," the paper quoted managing director Rajiv Bajaj as saying. “We will build our four wheeler facility, including for passenger cars, there."
Bajaj Auto, India’s second-largest maker of two-wheelers, is developing a car for Nissan Motor Co. and Renault SA that’s expected to compete with Tata Motors Co.’s minicar Nano.
