Tech Mahindra Ltd on Thursday said that the company has entered into a strategic alliance with California-based Informatica Corp. to enhance its data management services.

The alliance will help provide more value-added data management services to its clients, including data archive, data anonymization, master data management (MDM), the company said in a BSE filing.

Tech Mahindra along with Informatica will also jointly invest in developing solutions at Tech Mahindra’s research centre in Pune, Bangalore and Hyderabad.

Informatica is the world leader in providing data integration software services.

L. Ravichandran, chief operation officer (telecom) of Tech Mahindra said, “this offering comes at an appropriate time when organizations have started moving toward Big Data. There is tremendous potential for this offering and we’re confident that it be a key enabler to achieve our Mission 2015."

Tech Mahindra has set a target of becoming a $5 billion company by 2015, which the company calls the “Mission 2015".

Shares of Tech Mahindra gained 1.32% to close at 1,907.65 on Friday on BSE, while the exchange’s benchmark Sensex rose 0.86% to close at 25,019.51 points and the BSE IT Index gained 1.29% to close at 8,454.23 points.
