BackOlacabs launches low-cost service Ola mini

Bangalore: Olacabs, a car rental company, launched its second service in Bangalore that will provide small cars to customers at about the same fare as auto rickshaws.
Ola mini will offer hatchbacks such as Tata Indica Vista and Ford Figo at ₹ 13 per kilometre with a base fare of ₹ 100 for the first six kilometres.
The company’s sedan services, available in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Goa and Pune, cost ₹ 18 per kilometre with a base fare of ₹ 200 for the first eight kilometres.
The Ola mini service has 250 cars in Bangalore that can be booked online, through a mobile app or by phone. The company plans to expand it in other cities with around 1,000 cabs at the end of this year.
Olacabs, launched in 2011, has received funding from Matrix Partners India and Tiger Global Management Llc.
