Arvind plans to become a `2,000 crore brand by FY18

Mumbai: Ahmedabad-based textile manufacturer Arvind Ltd said on Friday that it wants to quadruple the Arvind premium fabric brand business to ₹ 2,000 crore in four years.
Sales for the brand in the year ended March stood at ₹ 500 crore.
The growth strategy involves expanding beyond the traditional distribution model and the opening of more Arvind Stores retail outlets besides the launch of Tresca premium brand.
The number of Arvind Stores outlets will increase to 400 from about 100 now in the next four years to achieve annual retail sales of at least ₹ 600 crore. During this period, the company expects to turn Tresca into a ₹ 250 crore brand.
Shares of Arvind ended down 0.87% at ₹ 85.45 apiece on BSE on Friday. The Sensex ended 0.46% lower at 19,429.23.
