Aurobindo gets nod from Health Canada for migraine tablets

Mumbai: Drug firm Aurobindo Pharma on Monday said it has received approval from the Canadian health regulator for Topiramate tablets used in the treatment of epilepsy and migraine.

The company has received approval for its abbreviated new drug submission for Topiramate tablets from Health Canada, Aurobindo said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The tablets are available in the strengths of 25mg, 50mg, 100mg & 200mg, the filing added.

Health Canada is the Federal department responsible for helping Canadians maintain and improve their health.

This is Aurobindo’s 9th product approval from the Health Canada, it said.
