Italian auto component firm buys out Sansera Engineering’s subsidiary
Streparava Holding buys 51% stake in a subsidiary of joint venture partner Sansera Engineering for an undisclosed sum
Mumbai:Streparava Holding SPA, an Italian automotive parts maker, has bought a 51% stake in a subsidiary of joint venture partner Sansera Engineering Pvt. Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
Streparava earlier held 49% equity in the joint venture. Tecnova India, a Delhi-based consulting company, advised the companies on the transaction.
Sansera + Streparava Engineering Pvt. Ltd, located in Bangalore, will now become Streparava’s wholly owned unit. The Sansera Group supplies products to more than 20 automakers in India and abroad. In the year ended 31 March, the group reported a revenue of ₹ 550 crore.
Streparava makes rocker arms, chassis components, bearing cups, valve bridges and other powertrain components for trucks and buses. The Italian company is also present in Brazil, Spain and China.
