Great Eastern Shipping net falls 47%
Company posts net profit of `101.50 crore, revenue down 10% to `792.99 crore
Bangalore: Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd, India’s biggest private ocean carrier, reported a 47% fall in its net profit to ₹ 101.50 crore for the three months ended 31 December, from ₹ 191.84 crore a year earlier.
The Mumbai-based firm, which runs a fleet of 54 ships, said its revenue declined 10% to ₹ 792.99 crore in the September-December quarter from ₹ 881.55 crore a year ago, it said in a statement.
Great Eastern Shipping announced an interim dividend of ₹ 4 per equity share for the fiscal year 2013-14.
