New Delhi: Mumbai-based analytics and mobile engagement platform WizRocket Inc has raised $8 million in a fresh round of funding from Sequoia Capital India and existing investor Accel Partners, the company said in a statement.

The firm will use the funds for product enhancement.

It had earlier raised $1.6 million from Accel Partners.

Founded in 2013 by Suresh Kondamudi, Sunil Thomas and Anand Jain, the start-up helps marketers analyse user behaviour. They can then apply the inputs derived to customise their offerings. It thus enables the creation of mobile apps that improve user conversion and retention rates while helping decrease attrition.

The company has 10 employees, including the founders, and over 300 customers across e-commerce, publishing, ticketing and other sectors. It has a second office in Silicon Valley.

Its client base includes start-ups like FreeCharge, Ixigo, BookMyShow, BlueStone and Zovi.

“WizRocket leverages two of the biggest trends in the technology arena today—mobility and analytics. With the confluence of user analytics and marketing automation, there is a potential for creating a positive ripple effect in the way consumer insights are derived," said Mohit Bhatnagar, managing director at Sequoia Capital.
