Rajeev Bakshi joins Metro Cash and Carry

New Delhi: Rajeev Bakshi, a former head of commercial operations for Asia-Pacific at PepsiCo Inc., will take over the reins at the India cash and carry unit of Germany’s Metro Group.
He will take over in June from Sylweriusz Faruga, who is taking a senior position in the parent organization, a company statement said.
Bakshi till recently was with private equity firm ICICI Venture Funds and has also served on the board of Subhiksha Trading Services Ltd before a financial crunch caused the retailer to go out of business early last year.

Harsh Manglik named new Nasscom chairman
Bangalore:Harsh Manglik, chairman and geography managing director for Accenture Plc in India, has been elected the new chairman of industry lobby Nasscom, replacing Pramod Bhasin, chief executive of Genpact Ltd.
Rajendra S. Pawar, chairman and managing director of NIIT Technologies Ltd, will be vice-chairman of the body, it said.
