New Delhi: Jet Airways has flown 365,000 passengers on its international routes in June, registering a 31% rise over the year-ago period.
During the same month, the airline recorded a seat occupancy of over 82% in its international flights, according to the figures released by the Director-General of Civil Aviation.
In June, the overall domestic passenger traffic stood at 45.04 lakh, the DGCA figures showed, out of which Jet and JetLite combine flew about 12 lakh and maintained their lead with a combined market share of 26.5%.
The seat occupancy factor for Jet’s domestic operations stood at 80.5%, a marked improvement by over 13% during the the same period last year. JetLite, the no-frills carrier from the Jet stable, clocked a seat factor of 83.7% in the reporting month.
“Nine consecutive months of robust growth underline the fact that Jet Airways, as a customer-centric organisation, has been able to comprehend and capitalise on the resurgent trend in domestic and global air traffic," Jet Airways chief executive officer Nikos Kardassis said in a statement.
