New Delhi: Bharti Airtel, India’s top mobile phone operator, said on Monday it had selected Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks and Huawei Technologies as its network equipment partners for third-generation (3G) mobile services.
Bharti, which won rights in an auction this year to launch 3G services in 13 of India’s 22 telecoms zones, has awarded seven zones to Ericsson, and three each to Nokia Siemens and Huawei, a spokeswoman for the Indian firm said.
Financial value of the contracts were not disclosed.
